About Jennifer Chisholm, M.Ed, IBCLC

In 2018, I gave birth to my first child. I had dreams of a natural childbirth with no interventions. After a long and arduous labor and hours upon hours of pushing, my dreams quickly spiraled out of reach when my son became stuck and needed to urgently be delivered via cesarean. I felt like everything was suddenly out of my control, and the birth story I envisioned was stolen from me…until they put him on my chest—and he latched. It was as though I was being given a second chance at a beautiful beginning. From that moment on, I fell in love with breastfeeding. I threw myself into learning everything I could about lactation, which soon evolved into my journey to becoming an IBCLC.

I began supporting families as a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in 2021, became an Advanced Certified Lactation Counselor (ALC) in 2023 and through extensive education, mentorship, and clinical shadowing, became an IBCLC in 2025. I currently am the Vice Chair of the New Hampshire Breastfeeding Task Force, am a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA), am a member of the United States Breastfeeding Committee, and a member of Postpartum Support International. I also have a Masters of Education in Counseling, which has proved invaluable for not only educating families in lactation, but also for advocating and supporting perinatal mental health.

It is my passion and priority to help you and your family achieve your infant feeding goals through a supportive, responsive, holistic approach. I truly consider it an honor to have the privilege to work with each and every family that reaches out for support.

Jennifer lives with her husband and two sons in Southern NH. Aside from her passion for lactation, she loves running, reading, hiking, exploring tide pools and coastal towns, and being outdoors with her family.
